We are incredibly excited to announce that Arthur Clesen, Inc. and PROturf Solutions have merged to form Clesen PROturf Solutions in Wisconsin.  Discussions between the two companies began last fall and it became more and more apparent throughout that we could offer our customers so much more as one company.  Our location north of Milwaukee, in Menomonee Falls, will remain as our Wisconsin headquarters.  Our Menomonee Falls location is stocked with all of our product lines, continues to provide prompt deliveries, is open daily for customer pick-ups, and has a knowledgeable staff.

 

Our product portfolio has greatly expanded and we are proud to now have the most diverse and expansive catalog in Wisconsin.  With that, there is no issue that our talented agronomic sales staff cannot help you find a solution for.  In addition, our geographical expanse will also provide turf managers throughout Wisconsin and The Upper Peninsula of Michigan access to products and services not available before.  This includes our industry respected custom application spreader trucks and our talented customer service staff available by phone to help you resolve any technical agronomic issues when your sales representative isn’t immediately available.

 

To further provide turf managers and green industry professionals with outstanding agronomic and logistical support, Clesen PROturf Solutions is also expanding its sales staff.  It’s our pleasure to announce that Rob Wasser and Steve Wasser have joined our team.  Most of you are familiar with Rob and Steve as they have extensive histories in the Wisconsin turfgrass community and have served their customers for decades as Account Managers.

 

Rob is a graduate of Northwestern College and has over 30 years of experience in the golf industry.  He began his career at Abbey Springs while attending college; and then took his first Assistant Superintendents job at Big Foot Country Club after he graduated.  For the last 21 years he has worked in various roles for LESCO and John Deere Landscapes selling agronomic products in southern Wisconsin.

 

Steve also has 30 years in the golf business and is a graduate of Northwestern College. He worked at Abbey Springs Golf Course for seven years, and then became the superintendent at Prairie du Chien Country Club.  For the last 21 years, Steve has been selling agronomic products to golf courses and lawn care companies throughout northern Wisconsin and the U.P. of Michigan as a sales agronomist for LESCO and John Deere Landscapes.

 

Dan Carmichael also partnered with PROturf Solutions last fall and is heading up business development related to lawn care operators, landscape contractors, sports turf, and snow removal companies.  Dan also has decades of experience working with Wisconsin turfgrass and green industry professionals.  Dan graduated from the University of Wisconsin – Stevens Point and began his career working for Wisconsin area landscape contractors.  His sales career began at Spring Valley in 1998 working directly with turfgrass managers in developing fertility and plant protection programs with other responsibilities that included regional sales management and national sales.

 

We are also announcing that Matt Kinnard has been named Director of Sales for Clesen PROturf Solutions and Arthur Clesen, Inc.  Like many of you, Matt started working on a golf course at age 15, and it didn’t take long for him to develop a passion for golf course management.  Matt later graduated from the University of Wisconsin – River Falls then became the Superintendent at Rock River Hills Golf Club in Horicon.  In 2008 he began his sales career at DHD Turf Products and a year ago started PROturf Solutions and with much thanks to his customers (friends), had a successful first year with the new company.  Matt couldn’t be more excited about this new partnership and how it will only reinforce our commitment to Wisconsin, Illinois, Indiana and Michigan turf professionals for a long time to come.

 

The synergy that’s evolved from this partnership creates a new and unique mission; to bring positive involvement in helping our customers do their job better with a commitment to developing strong relationships and providing value.  With that in mind, all of us at Clesen PROturf Solutions are looking forward to working with you this upcoming growing season and for many more in the future.
