Traction™ fungicide is a proven premix that helps golf course managers save time and stay in control of challenging diseases, including anthracnose, dollar spot, brown patch and snow mold. Traction fungicide combines FRAC 29 and FRAC 3 active ingredients supporting a strong disease resistance management program. Plus, by working on contact and systemically within the plant, Traction effectively controls 19 challenging turf diseases and algal scum. Use Summary

Traction™ is a broad spectrum fungicide labeled for the control of turfgrass diseases on golf courses. This product may be applied with all types of spray equipment normally used for ground applications on golf courses. Apply this product in sufficient water to obtain adequate uniform coverage of the turf. Apply in a minimum spray volume of 40 gal of water/A up to 132 gal of water/A. Thorough, uniform coverage is essential for optimum disease control.

Q. WHAT IS TRACTION’S DISEASE CONTROL SPECTRUM?

A. Traction has been university tested and shown effective on a wide range of spring, summer, fall and winter diseases, such as Waitea patch, dollar spot, brown patch, basal and foliar anthracnose, gray leaf spot and snow molds.

 

Q. WHERE CAN TRACTION BE USED?

A. Traction is labeled for use to control diseases of both cool- and warm-season grasses on golf courses only, including greens, tees and fairways.

 

Q. WHAT ARE THE APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS FOR TRACTION?

A. Always read and follow label directions for use rates and mixing. Applyin sufficient water to ensure thorough coverage. Apply in a minimum spray volume of 40 gal of water per acre. For spray drift management, do not apply when wind velocity exceeds 15 mph.

 

Q. ARE THERE ANNUAL LIMITATIONS ON THE AMOUNT OF PRODUCT OR NUMBER OF APPLICATIONS THAT CAN BE MADE?

A. Yes. Do not apply more than six(6) applications at 1.3 fl oz/1,000 sq ft (57 fl oz/A) peryear. Do not exceed 7.8 fl oz/1,000 sq ft (2.65 gal/A) of this product per acre peryear.

 

Q. ARE THESE LIMITATIONS THE SAME FOR NEW YORK?

A. No. Do not exceed 3.9 fl oz of this product per 1,000 sq ft (1.33 gal/A) (2.2 lb ai/A tebuconazole) peryear in the state of New York.

 

Q. CAN TRACTION BE TANK-MIXED WITH OTHER CONTROL PRODUCTS?

A. Yes. Lab and field experience has shown that Traction is physicallycompatible with manycommonly used golf products including fungicides, herbicides, insecticides and plant growth regulators. However, a jar test is always recommended before large scale use at an individual site based on water quality and desired tank-mixcomponents.

 

Q. CAN TRACTION BE USED AS PART OF A RESISTANCE MANAGEMENT ROTATION?

A. Yes. Because of Traction’s unique formulation containing two different mode of action groups and two different plant location strategies, Traction is very effective for use in fungicide resistance management programs. Regular use in a rotational program or as a tank-mix partner may prevent or delaythe development of disease resistant populations atyour location.

 

Q. IS TRACTION SAFE TO USE ON BOTH COOL- AND WARM-SEASON TURF?

A. Yes. Numerous university trials and cooperator experiences have shown a very high degree of turf safety during use throughout the growing season and winter dormancy.

 

Q. WHAT IS THE APPLICATION RATE FOR TRACTION ON VARIOUS DISEASES?

A. For all labeled diseases and algal scum, Traction is applied at a single rate of 1.3 fl oz/1,000 sq ft (57 fl oz /A).

 

Q. WHAT SPRAY INTERVALS ARE RECOMMENDED?

A. Reapply at a minimum of 14 days after application for the control of most diseases. Always read and follow the complete label instructions.

Q. WHAT ABOUT IRRIGATION OR RAINFALL AFTER APPLICATION OF TRACTION?

A. Allow sprayed area to completely dry before an irrigation or rainfall event.

 

Q. WHAT MOWING DIRECTIONS ARE RECOMMENDED AFTER APPLICATION OF TRACTION?

A. For best results, allow 24 hours after application for product absorption and translocation into the weed before mowing. The effectiveness of this product is reduced when grass clippings interfere with thorough spray coverage of the target weeds.

 

Q. ARE THERE ANY PARTICULAR USE PRECAUTIONS?

A. Yes. To avoid potential for environmental impacts, do not applythis product within 25 ft of permanent water bodies and maintain a 10 ft vegetative buffer strip.

A. Store in original container in a cool, dry place, separate from food and feed. Do not store near heat or open flames.
