Navy Kentucky Bluegrass: Navy is an early maturing Kentucky Bluegrass that exhibits excellent spring green up and improved disease resistance. Navy has a nice medium-dark green color which will blend well with a wide range of cool season mixes.
Slugger 3GL Perennial Ryegrass: Slugger 3GL is another top-rated NTEP performer from Mountain View Seeds. Slugger 3GL combines all the traits you expect in a great variety, along with excellent gray leaf spot resistance. (A-List Variety)
Boreal Creeping Red Fescue: Boreal creeping red fescue is a low-maintenance, perennial cool-season grass known for its high shade tolerance and ability to form a dense, deep-green turf. It is a long-lived variety that spreads by underground rhizomes and is suitable for use in lawns, pastures, and for soil stabilization in cool climates, especially in dry or shaded areas.
Radar Chewings Fescue: Radar chewings fescue is dark green, in fact the darkest of the fine fescue varieties tested. It has excellent disease resistance, particularly to red thread and pink patch, and is also endophyte enhanced. Tolerance to shade and traffic and wear adds to its versatility. (A-List Variety)
Jetty Hard Fescue: Jetty hard fescue was ranked highest in the NTEP for shade tolerance and can handle growing under dense tree canopies. Unlike other hard fescues, Jetty can withstand low mowing's, working well in low maintenance areas or golf courses that need to be mowed low. (A-List Variety)
Beacon Hard Fescue: Beacon II is a new Hard Fescue release from Mountain View Seeds. Like it’s predecessor, Beacon II exudes multiple traits that set it apart from other hard fescues. This variety has superb density; the year-round dense sward keeps weeds from getting a foothold. Beacon II features high seedling vigor and aggressive establishment which allows it to form a solid turf stand quickly. It’s drought tolerance is second to none in the latest NTEP trials. Beacon II is a use-anywhere selection when soils and fertility are lacking, and irrigation is absent. Suggested for low maintenance residential turf, roadsides, parks, and golf course roughs.
